Vipers SC lost their a first leg in the CAF Champions League preliminary round 2-0 defeat to Jwaneng Galaxy on Sunday evening in Botswana.

Thabang Vincent Sesinyi struck twice to ensure Jwaneng Galaxy had an advantage at the Lobatse Sports Complex.

Vipers now await the second leg to react on the loss but their Head coach Leo Neiva is optimistic and sure that the game is still open

“It was a very good and difficult game for both sides, Galaxy were are very organized team on the field unlike us” he said

“They attacked us, we accepted and it’s no excuse they deserved the win”

He added that;“I can’t criticise the attitude because they were trying, but it’s the way we tried but it wasn’t good enough.”

“But the battle is still open, if Galaxy can score two goals at their home we also can in Uganda” 

“We going back to fix a few issues and to me I think the tie is still open” he concluded 

Vipers who now have an uphill to climb since they need three goals and above without reply. 

The second leg will be played on the 26th August at the St Mary Stadium in Kitende.
