Blacks Power suffered a 5-0 thrashing against BUL FC in their first ever StarTimes Uganda Premier League game.
Karim Ndugwa and Richard Wandyaka scored twice each while Jerome Kirya was also target for BUL to hand Blacks Power a rude welcome to Uganda’s top flight.
Ndugwa opened the scoring with 10 minutes on the clock with a well taken volley before Kirya doubled the lead few moments later with a nice strike following Hillary Onek’s setup.
It was 3-0 for BUL FC before the half hour after Wandyaka capitalized on Blacks Power poor defending to slot home
Wandyaka then made it 4-0 for the visitors before halftime, pouncing in from close range.
Just after the restart, Ndugwa got his second of the game and BUL’s fifth on the day as he headed in a well driven corner past goalkeeper Ibrahim Ssekeba.
BUL could have had more, but Ndugwa and Reagan Kalyowa failed to find the target.
Blacks Power best goalscoring chances fell to Bronson Nsubuga who failed to beat Emmanuel Kalyowa on two occasions.
5-0 it ended and BUL take an early lead on the Uganda Premier League log with maximum three points and will host UPDF FC next on Saturday.
Having suffered a terrible loss, Blacks Power will hope for a better performance against Busoga United next Wednesday.
