Big girls, St Mary’s College – Namagunga join Mukono Cricket Community

In a significant development, the big girls of St. Mary’s College Namagunga officially joined the ranks of the Mukono Cricket Community.

This exciting news follows extensive discussions between Mr. Kintu Simon, the chairman of Mukono Cricket Community, and the Namagunga administration.

A crucial turning point came with the assurance of equipment and a dedicated coach for the Namagunga cricket team, outlined in a formal letter. Subsequently, a memorandum of understanding was signed, sealing the partnership.

On the 30th of October, Mr. Kintu Simon and the coach of the Baby Cricket Cranes, Robinson Turinawe, launched the training program at Namagunga, sparking enthusiasm throughout the cricket community. With this successful catch, daily training sessions will be held at Namagunga for the next two weeks.

This marks a significant milestone for Mukono Cricket Community, which has grand plans to expand its reach to more schools.

The organization envisions becoming a driving force for cricket in Mukono District, Kayunga, and Kalangala.

They have also submitted a request to the Uganda Cricket Association to upgrade them into a fully functional and well-equipped hub, further cementing their commitment to the sport.
