betPawa FSL: Park dominance continues as they ooze past Mengo City

Amidst the electrifying atmosphere of the Old Kampala Futsal Arena, Park FC showcased their dominance once again in the betPawa Futsal Super League, extending their unbeaten streak with a commanding 7-3 victory over Mengo City.

From the outset, it was clear that Park FC meant business. Abasi Muluya wasted no time, opening the scoring in the fourth minute, setting the tone for the match. Captain Shafiq Mulangira swiftly followed suit with a close-range finish in the 12th minute, further asserting Park FC’s authority on the game.

Muluya continued to orchestrate Park’s attack, setting up Michael Abura for another goal before slotting in a powerful shot himself, extending Park FC’s lead to 4-0. Mengo City managed to pull one back through Herbert Kalema before halftime, but Park FC remained firmly in control.

In the second half, substitute Sam Kalyango added to Park’s lead with a well-placed strike, sending the Park faithful into jubilation. Despite Mengo’s efforts with goals from Kalema and Umar Ssebuliba, Mulangira’s quick-fire brace to complete his hat-trick sealed Park’s victory in style.

With this win, Park FC now comfortably sits atop the league table with 44 points, eight points clear of second-placed FC Luzira, who also secured a win on Thursday. Meanwhile, Kisugu maintained their momentum with a convincing 6-1 victory over Kawempe FC.

As the league action continues, Friday’s matchups promise more excitement, with Nansana ASKA facing Lubaga Grameen, Kabowa Dream Team hosting Edgars Youth Programme, and Kisenyi FC taking on Kampala Junior Team to round off Matchday 16.
