Nile Special Rugby 7’s: Heathens win second series in a row

Heathens win back-to-back Cup Finals as they clinch the Arua Sevens series at the Greenlight Stadium on Saturday.

This was the third circuit of the 2022 Nile Special Rugby Sevens Series. On the day the yellow Boys  played six games, won six and scooped 137 points conceding twelve (12).

In a repeat of the Entebb Sevens Cup Final two weeks ago they beat Jinja Hippos, 10-00 with Lawrence Sebuliba running the show this time.

Sebuliba was also named Most Valuable Player for his outstanding performances on the day that pushed Heathens on top of the Log.

Next up will be the Rujumba Sevens on September 3rd to 4th and will be hosted by the Stanbic Black Pirates at Kings Park, Bweyogerere for the second time just like the Wakiso 7’s.

After winning two consecutive series, Heathens now top of the Log with 56 points to top the series standings and Pirates come in second followed by Jinja Hippos and Impis.
