Alpha Ssali: Former Proline forward joins Express Football Club

The former Proline Football Club forward Alpha Ssali has StarTimes Uganda Premier League side Express Football Club.

Ssali, 19 has joined the UPL traditional giants on a two-year contract.

This will be Alpha’s first time to play top flight football after playing all his life at previously FUFA Big League side(now regional side), Proline FC.

During his unveiling at the Skys hotel in Naguru , Ssali gave more hope to all his supporters and Express fans;

“I am very happy to join Express Football as I continue my development at 19. In the biggest chuck of last season, had an injury but hope this one will be a better one.”

For Express head coach James Odoch, who was present during the unveiling, he came out to assure that Alpha doesn’t bring unnecessary pressure to his team selection;

“He is a good player, that will bring selection headache if he is doing well but will also receive questions from the Express fanbase”

The Uganda Hippos star joins recruits at the club like Emmanuel Wasswa, Andrew Kawooya and Sheif Baate ahead of the new season.

With the fixtures yet to be known, the StarTimes Uganda Premier League is expected to kick-off on Thursday 14th September 2023.
