Alex Isabirye labels appointment news “FAKE”

Shortly after being pronounced a Soldier Boy in the role of Technical Director, via a statement shared on Gaddafi FC’s X (formerly Twitter) account on Thursday evening, Alex Isabirye has lashed out at the Jinja based Club’s administration, labeling them liars.

The former Vipers coach who led the Venoms to a historic club double last season with the Uganda Premier League and Uganda Cup on his X took to his X account @AlexIsabirye_ advising the football fraternity to treat the announcement as ‘Fake News’.

“FAKE NEWS: Please, disregard this fake news post being shared by Gaddafi Football Club and treat it with the contempt it deserves.” Isabirye wrote.

“I have not been appointed by any club and I’m very surprised about this post claiming my appointment without my consent. It is not true.” he added and concluded.

This means the experienced tactician stays on the market with a couple of offers on his table.

However, Gaddafi FC who have not had the best start to the season will hope to set their eyes on a new Technical director as they look to improving their season performances.
