Airtel Masaza Cup: Bululi edges Bulemeezi in opener

A bad start it was for the 2023 Airtel Masaza Cup defending champions Bulemeezi as their title defence hit a rock end at Kasana Luweero on Saturday.

The Luweero side were edged 1-0 by newly built Buluuli as Robert Ssewanyana scored the only goal after seven minutes to walk away with three points.

After the opening game, Buluuli now lead their group in Bulange Group with three points.

For the holders, they lay at the bottom with a deficit and negative goal difference of the group.

Both sides will return to action on Saturday, July 7 as Bululi face Bugerere and Bulemeezi meet Butambala.

Buddu, Kyadondo, Bugerere, and Butambala are the other four teams that complete the Bulange Group.
