The 2020-21 StarTimes FUFA Big League kick-off date has been extended a week further by the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA).

The second top tier football league in Uganda was set to commence on Thursday 18th March, 2021, but FUFA, through their Competitions Department have extended the kickoff to 25th March, 2021

The change comes barely a week after the fixtures were officially released by the football governing body last Saturday.

Unlike in the previous season, this season’s Big league will have only 16 teams, eight in each pool, that is the Rwenzori and Elgon groups.

The best placed team in each group will automatically qualify to join the topflight league and will be joined by one other team from the play offs.

The first round was tentatively set to climax on Thursday 8th April, but could be extended a week further with this new development.
