UYFA postpones National Chenga Championship

The Uganda Youth Football Associations (UYFA) has postponed this year’s UYFA National Chenga Championship to January 2024.

The championship earlier had to be held in Western Uganda from 12th-17th December at Mbarara High School, Mbarara DFA.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are unable to proceed with the National YFA Chenga Championship as planned. It has been a difficult decision to make but we had no option but to postpone the championship”. UYFA communicated.

The championship will now be played from 15th- 20th January, 2024 at the same venue.

The National UYFA Chenga Championship were launched in 2022 hosted by Nkoma Senior Secondary school in Mbale, Eastern Uganda.

Sparta 09 from Kampala and CBI from Kumi are the defending Champions for the Boys and girls respectively.

The UYFA Chenga Championship is an annual tournament targeting children of 11-13 years of age.
