Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club (URA FC) has announced Simeon Masaba as their new head coach on an interim basis.

Masaba who was working under Sam Simbwa as his assistant after joining from Onduparaka last season will assume his former boss’ role as the head as the team continues preparations for the upcoming 2021/22 season.

Ssimbwa and the Tax Collectors failed to agree to new terms after his contract expired at the end of last season.

Masaba will be tasked with preparing the team for the upcoming CAF Confederation Cup until a new coach is permanently appointed.

Kiggundu Stephen Billy and Edward Ssali are expected to deputize the former URA FC, Villa and Police FC player.

URA finished second in the Uganda Premier League last season and were selected by FUFA to represent the country at the continent in the CAF Confederation Cup that gets underway next month.
