URA eliminated from the CAF Confederation Cup after defeat to Al Masry

URA FC has been eliminated from the CAF Confederations Cup after they suffered a 1-0 defeat to Egyptian side Al Masry on Saturday evening.

The loss means the Ugandan side exit the tournament at the premilimary round following a 1-0 aggregate loss, having drawn 0-0 in the first leg at Kitende last weekend.

Islam Attiya netted the lone goal in the game played at Alexandria Stadium, Egypt.

The goal came in the first half after the forward curled the ball past Nafian Alionzi.

The Tax Collectors tried to level matters in the second half but Cromwell Rwothomio and Shafik Kagimu failed to get the ball past the Al Masry Custodian on numerous occasions.

Its the end of the road for URA n continental competition for this season and will return home on Sunday.
