UPL: Vipers complete double over Kitara to go top of the League

Defending champions, Vipers SC have defeated Kitara fc 0-2 in the Masindi stadium to go to the top of the table on Friday.

Kitara have suffered a home and away defeat to Vipers losing 2-1 in Kitende and 0-2 at home in Masindi.

Donato Okello’s own goal in the 18th minute put coach Richard Wasswa’s side in the lead after three well structured passes to set Yunus Ssentamu through only for Okello to knock the ball past Chrispus Kusiima unexpectedly.

Five minutes to close the game, Abubakar Lawal sealed the win against Brian Sseyondo’s side with a good strike.

With 45 points, Vipers have climbed to the top of the table a point ahead of  Kitara who slip to second on the League table.

The Royals will be looking forward to coming back to wining ways as they travel to Wankulukuku on 24th April to play Express.

For the Venoms, they will host Maroons at the St Mary’s stadium on 23rd April.
