In a highly contested night match at the renovated Mandela National Stadium, Namboole, KCCA defeated SC Villa 2-0 on Wednesday evening.
Winger Usama Arafat Kiiza emerged the hero of the night scoring two late goals which made the difference in the second test game.
From Herbert Achai’s cross in the 82nd minute, Usama simply headed the ball into the bottom left corner.
One minute into the final whistle, Usama made a shot from Sserugongi’s pass to doubled the lead.
Despite the first 45 minutes yielding no goal, the hosts had a number of attempts through Usama Arafat, Mohammed Shaban and Mustapha Kiiza’s crosses couldn’t be executed by his colleagues.
On the other hand, a number of Patrick Jonah Kakande’s shots went wide as Charles Lwanga couldn’t utilise any.
SC Villa goalkeeper, Braddy Wokorrach tried to cool the heat on side as he saved several shots from Usama, Ashraf Mugume as the second half went on before the deadlock was broken in the final 9 minutes.
With 42 points, KCCA remain sixth while SC sit fourth with 45 points, 4 behind table leaders Bul FC.
The Kasasiro boys return to Lugogo on 7th May to play relegation strikened side, UPDF while the Jogoos will take on Wakiso Giants on 8th May in Wankulukuku.
