UPL: UPDF completes double over BUL


UPDF FC has humiliated Bul FC 0-1 at Njeru Technical Center in Jinja on Monday evening.

The Bombo based side dramatically put the ball in the back of the net in the 73rd minute through Hussein Hassan Zinda’s header.

Into the game, the hosts were reduced to ten men in the 77th minute when Gerald Ogweti received a red card.

Christopher Kamagu was also sent off three minutes later reducing the visitors to ten men.

This win means UPDF completes the double over the Eastern Giants in the league this season after losing the first leg 2-0 in Bombo.

Therefore BUL remain second (2nd) on the League table with 39 pionts, one behind table leaders Kitara while UPDF move to the 14th position with 16 points with a goal difference margin from the 15th placed Busoga United.

Abby Kikomeko’s charges will return into action on Friday as SC Villa visits them while UPDF will play defending champions, Vipers SC on April 5th in Bombo.
