Pilsner UPL Monthly Awards: Wakiso Giants duo nominated

Wakiso Giants midfielder Ibrahim Kasule and his coach John Luyinda have been nominated for the Pilsner UPL monthly awards for November.

This is deserved after Wakiso Giants ended the month in style after winning four games and drawing. Ibrahim Kasule was at the Helm of every good performance they had, scoring three and assisting twice.

The goals came against Vipers, SC Villa and Express FC.

He will face off with Alex Kitata (Gaddafi ) and Nelson Ssenkatuka (Bright stars).

John Luyinda has been nominated alongside Robertinho ( Vipers) and Morley Byekwaso ( KCCA).

Gaddafi FC forward Alex Kitata is on the list after scoring 5 goals in the month of November. He managed to help Gaddafi FC win 3-0 at home against Bright stars as he bagged a hat-trick.

He also scored the only goal as they lost 2-1 against KCCA at the MTN Omondi stadium which took his tally to five goals scored.

Nelson Ssenkatuka on the other hand, also scored five goals for a Bright Stars FC side netting two braces (against Express and BUL FC) and the other goal in the game against Onduparaka where he also put up an assist.

On the side of the coaches, Wakiso Giants coach John Luyinda alias Ayala has helped his side get to second on the log with 21 points so far this season.

14 of the 21 points were collected in November with his team scoring a total of 10 goals and conceding only 5.

For KCCA’s Morley Byekwaso, he guided his side to four wins ( Gaddafi, SC Villa, UPDF, Blacks Power) and a draw against URA FC, his team collecting 13 out their current 22 in November.

Just like Byekwaso, Robertinho did a similar job for the Venoms in November helping Vipers to collect  6 wins ( Blacks Power, Maroons, Arua Hill, UPDF, SC Villa, URA) and a draw against Wakiso Giants

Too much of the talk among the fans, asking why Yunus Sentamu was not included on the short list yet he’s got 6 goals this season and 5 in November but that is a debate for another day.

For the month of October, it was all BUL as both the Player and Coach of the Month Awards were taken home by the Eastern giants’ forward Richard Wandyaka was  and head coach Alex Isabirye, Coach of the Month.
