UPL: Omedi on scoresheet again as Kitara humble URA in Masindi

Kitara FC beat URA 3-0 at the Masindi stadium to keep top spot and enlighten chances of winning the title.

Denis Omedi opened the score for the hosts in the 5th minute capitalizing on Kabon Living’s low cross from the left.

Seven minutes before the halftime whistle, Jude Ssemugabi’s header, off Paul Mucureezi corner kick doubled the lead for the home side.

In a second half of much improved performance from URA, the scoreline went from bad to worse in first minute of added time after Najib Iga’s through pass which found Kabon Living made it three for the Royals.

Substitute, Ivan Ahimbisibwe got sent off for the elbow on Paddy Muhumuza leaving the Tax collectors with ten men.

Kitara goes to 43 points, four points clear second positioned Bul FC while URA remains in the seventh position with 31 pionts.

After the international break, Brian Sseyondo’s side will host their immediate title challengers, Bul FC on 29th March while David Obua will play defending champions Vipers on 30th March.
