Uganda Boxing Federation acquires land from the Government

The Government of Uganda has given 11 acres of land from 11 different districts to the Uganda Boxing Federation including that one in Kampala.

The other 10 acres of land from the government of Uganda will be in 10 districts like Arua, Soroti, Jinja, Masaka, Mbarara, Hoima, Luweero, Kabale, Mbale among others.

This news was put out to the public by the UBF President Moses Muhangi through a press briefing held at the Kati Kati Restaurant on Wednesday morning with intention to thank the President of Uganda and government at large.

It was all done in the presence of former Uganda Boxing Federation president and trustee David Agong and fellow trustee Rose Mrs Kirabira Rose who both highly appreciated the work done by the current UBF president Muhangi.

During the press UBF President extended his thanks to H. E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni ;”We as the boxing fraternity highly appreciate president Museveni for his directive of 10 acres of land to the Federation and urge the lands commission to put the president’s directive in action because the president’s directive is always final.” he said

This was the second bit of land offered to the Federation after it acquired the first from the Buganda kingdom in Matugga, a land which was visited by the IBA President.

The Federation plans to use each of the land acquired appropriately with huge want to also help other sports develop through building the facilities with Football Futsal pitches, gyms, swimming pools which will help generate money to the Federation.
