Owen Kibira “the Matrix” comfortably won the 12th week of the Uganda Boxing Champions League main fight, after he aggressively boxed out Sande Simon at Club Obligato on Saturday evening.
A dodgy and efficient Kibira exceptionally excited his fans as he won the game by 5-0 unimous décision meaning that all the judges ruled in his favor something that was open for all the fans to see.
However for Nasana Boxing Club’s Sande Simon, this was his second 5:0 loss in a while after he was boxed by Bwaise’s finest Matovu Ukasha in Week six.
In the other fights of the night, COBAP’s Kimera Moses won his bout against Selwana David after the Referee Stopped Contest in Round two(2) in the Fly weight 51kgs.
In the same weight, also Kigundu Murshid of Namugoona BC won his fight 5:0 unanimous against Roch Nelson in what was labeled as a special contest just like Walugembe Shahari who who did the same against Kironde Japeth of Zebra in the Light Middle Youth 71kgs.
On thé women’s Bomber Nandawula Zahara of Lukanga BC won by a split decision of 3:2 against Gulu’s Laker Sarah in the Light weight Elite 60kgs
For Sultan Mariam, she jumped as a sign of victory after beating Nassali Maria by a 4:1 split decision in the Fly weight Elite 51kgs just like Namuyomba Christine beat Ayike Arafat by the same result in the Light weight Elite Youth 60kgs.
But earlier on, Kyengera BC’s Namirimu Esther who was also in the Light weight category in the Junior 60kgs won 5:0 unanimous against Babirye Flavia from Lukanga BC.

Muleme Denis of COBAP outclassed Lukanga’s Kato Henry in the Lighter Welter weight of 63.5kgs 5:0 unanimous against ????Kato Henry in the Youth Category.
Namugoona BC’s Wasswa Jonathan won 5:0 unanimous against COBAP’s Aluma Godwin In the Light Weight Juniors of 60kgs
The Uganda Boxing Champions League is the only competition where National team boxers are hand picked as per Uganda Boxing Federation.
Next round, Week 13 of the competition is will be set to be on Saturday 21st October 2023 at either Lugogo MTN Arena or Club Obligato.
