Uche Ikpeazu Mubiru

Ugandan forward Uche Ikpeazu Mubiru scored the consolation goal for Wycombe Wanderers as they suffered a 3-1 loss to Barnsley in the Skybet English Championship game played at Adams Park.

Cauley Woodrow broke the deadlock just before halftime, moments before Daryl Dike’s brace could extend The Tykes advantage to 3-0 by the 81st minute.

Uche Ikpeazu pulled a goal back for his side in the 85th minute when he connected to Garath McCleary’s cross finish.

Today’s goal was Mubiru’s 4th of the season in the 22 appearances, having also netted against Middlesbrough, Brentford and Derby.

Wycombe Wanderers remain bottom of the 24-team log with just 26 points collected in 37 games played so far and are set to play Coventry next on Saturday.

The 26-year old is among the 31 players that were summoned by interim head coach Abdullah Mubiru to start preparations ahead of AFCON 2021 qualifier games against Burkina Faso and Malawi.
