Transfers: UPDF on the verge of completing signing of former KCCA defender

StarTimes Uganda Premier league log leaders UPDF are on the verge of completing the signing of former KCCA and Bright Stars defender Bernard Muwanga.

The development was confirmed by UPDF head coach Kefa Kisala via the Sanyuka TV website.

” We are in talks with Muwanga and I am sure he will be part of us when the league resume” Kefa told the Sanyuka TV website.

Muwanga rejoined SOLTILO Bright Stars in January 2020 afterhe was released by KCCA, having spent his last seven months on loan at Proline FC.

In July, despite still having a running employment contract with Bright Stars Football Club, Muwanga discussed formally with Kyetume Football Club  management for a possible transfer.

After series of negotiations, Muwanga was officially announced via the official Facebook page for the “Slaughterers”.

A few hours after the announcement, the former Bright Stars, Sports Club Villa, KCCA and Proline defender came out refut the move.

UPDF sit top of the SUPL log with 12 points garnered in their opening five games .
