The Touchline Sports - Transfers: Mukwala finally joins Ghanaian Giants

Steven Mukwala has joined Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko from Uganda Premier League Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club.

After arriving in Accra, Ghana two days ago, Mukwala and his agent travelled to Kumaisi where they put pen to paper as a free agent on a two year deal. Despite the fact that the deal has just been made official.

Asante Kotoko who were the GPL champions last season have been trying to persuade the player to join them for the past two seasons and now is the right moment when they captured his signature.

He becomes the third Ugandan to feature in the GPL after George Abege and Joseph Ochaya who also played for the Porcupines Warriors and Asante Kotoko respectively

Mukwala was the best goal scoring player in the Uganda Premier League in the last three seasons scoring over 40 goals.

The Ugandan international has played for four clubs in his past in Edgars Youth Football Academy, Sports Club Vipers, Maroons Football club and URA FC.
