Tornado Bees Cricket Club concluded their season in the second division with a commanding 96-run victory over Rounders Cricket Club.
The match, played at Jinja SS Cricket Oval, saw an outstanding performance from Simon Okecho, scoring 70 off 83 balls, and Cyrus Kibukamusoke, who contributed 79 runs off 80 balls, enabling Tornado Bees to post a challenging total of 254 all out in 50 overs.
In response, Rounders Cricket Club struggled, managing only 151/9 in 36 overs, falling short of the revised target of 248 runs. Arafat Masinde and Cyrus Kunsa made efforts to contain the damage, picking up three wickets each for Rounders Cricket Club.
This victory propels Tornado Bees to 16 points from 9 games.
However, their claim to the championship is pending as they await the completion of Aziz Daman Ismaili Community Team’s fixtures, as they also stand a chance to contend for the trophy.

Abdallah Lubega leads the runs table in the second division with 287 runs from 7 innings, while Olipa Gerald remains in contention to surpass him with one inning remaining in the campaign.
