Uganda Cranes defender Rogers Ochaki Torach has completed his move from Vipers SC to Algerian top-flight side CS Constantine, signing a contract that will keep him at the club until 2029.
The Algerian club unveiled the 23-year-old defender as their latest signing ahead of the 2026/27 season, marking a major step in Torach’s career as he begins his first professional chapter outside Uganda.
Torach leaves Vipers after establishing himself as an important member of the club’s defensive unit. His performances during the 2025/26 season earned him individual recognition, including the Uganda Premier League Goal of the Season award for his spectacular strike against Lugazi FC.
The defender has also represented Uganda at different levels, including the Uganda Hippos, whom he captained at the 2024 African Games. His progression at club level subsequently earned him opportunities with the senior Uganda Cranes.
Torach joins a club with more than a century of football history.
CS Constantine, based in the eastern Algerian city of Constantine, was founded in 1898, making it one of Algeria’s oldest football clubs. The club plays its home matches at the Stade Mohamed-Hamlaoui.
CSC won its first Algerian league title in 1997, before securing its second championship in 2018. The club has also regularly featured in continental competitions, including the CAF Champions League, where it reached the quarter-finals in the 2018/19 season.
With such a long history and an established presence in Algerian football, CS Constantine provides Torach with a significant platform to continue his development.
