Samson Kigozi finally unveiled at KCCA

During the weekly KCCA TV on Sanyuka TV, forward Andrew Samson Kigozi was finally unveiled as the club’s seventh signing ahead of the 2020/21 StarTimes UPL season.

The 20- year old joined the Kasasiro Boys from Police FC and penned down a three-year employment contract with the 13-time SUPL winners.

Uganda crested craned defender Joan Nakirya completed her move to  Mid-America Christian University Women’s soccer from Southwestern Oklahoma State University ahead of the 2020-21 season.

The composed defender left SWOSU barely after just a year since she joined them from Redland Community College, Oklahoma.

Edward Kiryowa extends his Cop’s marriage

Attacking Midfielder Edward Kiryowa renewed his contract with the 2015 UPL winners, Police for atleast the next 3 year

Kiryowa becomes the fifth player to renew his contract after Musa Matovu, Johnson Don’t, Denis Rukundo and Yusuf Ssozi all extended their Cop’s stay in the lady few weeks.

Cryspus becames Express first official signing

Goalkeeper Cryspus Kusimi became Express first signing of the ongoing transfers when he penned down a two-year deal with the Wakulukuku based side.

The 24- year old spent last season at Tooro United and will be a huge addition to the Express goalkeeping department after Tony Kimera and Joshua Adea.

Goffin is finally a Joggo

SC Villa on Monday evening, confirmed the signing of youngster Geoffrey Goffin Oyirwoth as a free agent and inked his stay with the Joggos until 2022.

He became Villa’s third signing after Meddie Kibirige and Andrew Kiwanuka who signed from Tooro United and Express respectively.

Onduparaka beef up their technical team

Uganda Premier League side Onduparaka FC  beefed up their technical team with two coaches.Abu Mubarak Wamboya was appointed as the club’s assistant coach while Ibrahim Kongo joined the team as the new goalkeeping coach.

The two will work with head coach Vialli Bainomugisha as Onduparaka gears up for next season.

SC Villa adds another goalie on their roaster

Goalkeeper Martin Ssenkooto joined the record Uganda Premier league champions SC Villa on a 3-year deal and became Edward Kaziba’s fourth signing in less than a week.

Nunda switches KCCA FC for URA FC

Former KCCA midfielder Jackson Nunda joined URA FC in a three-year employment contract after he was released by KCCA FC last month.

At URA, he will fight for a starting spot with Shafiq Kagimu, Saidi Kyeyune, Sseruyidde Moses, Mustapha Anwar Ntege, and Mikdad Ssenyonga in the Sam Simbwa’s coached side.

FUFA confirms date, venue for the 96th AGM

The federation of Uganda Football Association ( FUFA) confirmed the date the venue of the 2020 Ordinary General Assembly (AGM)

It will be the 96th general assembly and will be hosted at Silver Springs Hotel, Kampala on the 17th, October 2020.

EXIFA revived.

The Uganda Ex-international Football Association (EXIFA) was revived after nearly 8 years since it was divorced  from the FUFA general Assembly in 2012.

An interim committee was elected and unveiled to the media with Jackson Mayanja as the president.

Mayanja is assisted by George Ssimwogerere while Gibby Kalule (Secretariat), Sam Ssimbwa (Treasurer), Patrick Ntege (Organising Secretary), Dan Walusimbi (Project Manager), Baker Masiko and Majida Nantanda (Welfare) among the members on the committee.

Golola is the new Tooro United head coach

Former Vipers SC head coach Edward Golola was unveiled as Tooro United new coach ahead of the 2020-21 FUFA Big league season.

Golola along Simon Ndugu ( Assistant Coach), Moses Oloya ( Goalkeeping coach) and Magazi Jamada(First team trainer ) were inveiled on Wednesday morning at Tavern woods hotel, Kabuusu.

Their task is to foresee Tooro’s promotion back to the StarTimes UPL.

Express continued with their rebuilding process with the signing of goalie Denis Otim on a four-year contract.

Otim became the club’s second signing in a less than week after another goalie, Cryspus Kusima was snapped up earlier in the week from Tooro United.

Vipers signs Bagoole after being released by Busoga

StarTimes UPL champions Vipers SC completed the signing of Midfielder maestro David Bagoole from Busoga United.

Tong Po as nicknamed, agreed to mutually terminate his contract with Busoga United and signed a three-year deal with Vipers SC on Friday.

He becomes Vipers fourth signing after  Jamil Kalisa,Disan Galiwango and Ibrahim Orit were snapped up in the past weeks.

Joshua Cheptegei breaks 16-year standing world record

Ugandan athlete Joshua Cheptegei broke the world In the 5000m race at the 2020 Monaco Diamond league

Cheptegei who is also the world 10,000m champion,  ran 12:35:36 minutes to smash the previous record set by Ethiopian Kenenisa Bekele by only 2 seconds.

MYDA unveils third signing

Uganda Premier League newcomers MYDA FC announced their third signing as they prepare for their debut season in top flight.

Central Defender Ramathan Yakubu joined the Malaba-based team from Zambia’s Lusaka Dynamos.

He joined on a two-year deal and is the third addition after the club unveiled former Express player Isaac Doka Mweru and left back Waiswa Kasongo.

Julius Debbo renews his contract

Busoga United football club extended the contract of their defender Julius Debbo for another two years.

The left back who joined from Onduparaka, will stay at the club until 2022, Busoga United announced.

Richard Bbosa is Express FC third signing

Express FC beefed up their squad with the addition of centre back Richard Bbosa.

The 21-year old became  the third signing for Express in this ongoing transfer window after goalkeepers Crispus Kusiima and Denis Otim.
