URA forward Steven Mukwala has insisted that he is getting better with every game he plays and intends to continue improving.
Mukwala impressed against Onduparaka in his side’s 3-0 win in the StarTimes UPL, notching in two goals against the Caterpillars in Arua.
“My performance today wasn’t bad and I congratulate my teammates and coaches for the efforts they put through for our win today because we worked together as a team to secure that,” Mukwala told the URA media.
“With two goals and a good performance today, I now feel like am improving with each and every game, even if the start wasn’t good enough as I needed some time to adapt,” he added.
Mukwala who has scored 3 goals in the last two league games also insists his main aim is retaining the topscorer’s gong he won last season while at Maroons.
“My target this season is to retain the topscorer’s boot that’s why I joined URA because I think this club provides me with the platform to do that.”
Steven Mukwala scored 13 goals in 25 games last season before the league was prematurely ended with five games to go, finishing as the leading scorer of the season.
Mukwala and URA end the first round top of the Uganda Premier league log with 36 points garnered in 15 games, 3 above of their nearest chasers Vipers SC.
