The StarTimes Uganda Premier League resumed on Tuesday afternoon with Busoga United collecting their first win of the season following their 1-0 victory over MYDA FC in the early kick-off at FUFA Technical Center, Njeru.
At the same venue, KCCA FC needed a Bright Anukani second-half goal to scrap past Kyetume, while on the other end in Bombo, Express FC lost their first game of the season to UPDF courtesy of a Alex ‘Benzema’ Kitata first-half goal.
In the clash of the third and fourth, URA FC came out on top after their impressive 2-0 win over Police FC at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
With five games of the Matchday 13 already played, URA ascended to the summit with 30 points, surpassing Express FC who remain on 28 points.
The action continues on Wednesday afternoon when the defending champions, Vipers SC takes on the record champions, SC Villa in Kitende, while BUL FC will travel to Kavumba to battle Soltilo Bright Stars. The early kick-off will have Kitara FC taking on Wakiso Giants.

Kitara FC Vs Wakiso Giants – Kavumba Recreation Center, Wakiso

Kitara FC will get proceedings underway on Wednesday when they host Wakiso Giants at the Kavumba Recreation Center, Wakiso in an early kick-off meeting.
Kitara is still winless this season, having lost 10 of their opening 12 games, while, Wakiso Giants have drawn more games than anyone else in the league with a record 9 draws so far.
The hosts, Kitara FC sit bottom of the table with just two points while Wakiso giants are ninth with 15 points.

Kitara squandered a two goals lead to draw 2-all with MYDA FC at the King George IV Memorial Stadium, Tororo. Their second draw of the season after drawing with Kyetume on their opening day
Wakiso Giants meanwhile picked up their first away win, a 1-0 victory over BUL FC at the Kyabazinga Stadium, Bugembe, on Saturday with Vianne Ssekajugo netting the lone goal almost at the death of the game.
Head to Head
This will be the third competitive meeting between Wakiso Giants and Kitara with the first one having ended in a 3-1 win for Wakiso Giants while their last meeting at the Kabaka Kyabaggu ended in a 2-all draw.
It will also be the first time Wakiso play at the Kavumba since rebranding in 2018.
What this could mean
Kitara is still looking for their first win of the season which could take them away from the bottom of the log, transcending MYDA who are on 3 points, while even if Wakiso Giants win tomorrow, they can not move a place up as they are four points behind Villa who sit eighth on the log.

Soltilo Bright Stars Vs BUL FC – Kavumba Recreation Center, Wakiso

This will be the late kick-off at the Kavumba Recreation Center, Wakiso after the Kitara-Wakiso Giants game.
BUL head into this game with assistant coach Dan Mubiru still in charge while after Arthur Kyesimira, who is returning with the Uganda Cubs team was suspended by FUFA for unsporting actions made during the BUL-MYDA game in February.
Both these two sides are separated by only a point as Bright Stars sits tenth with 14 points while BUL are a place below with 13 points collected in 12 games.
Bright Stars have won three, drawn one and lost two of their last six home games in the league (W3 D1 L2)
BUL FC have won two and lost five of their last seven away games this season (W2 D0 L5), and have scored five and conceded seven goals in that process.
Last result
Bright Stars suffered a narrow 1-0 loss at home to Onduparaka on Saturday evening while by the same scoreline, BUL suffering a last minute loss to Wakiso Giants in Bugembe.

This will be the 14th meeting between the two sides. Soltilo Bright Stars have won 5 of them, BUL 3 while the rest have ended in stalemates.
What this could mean
A victory for the either side could take them up the table as if BUL defeated Bright Stars, they could go above the oponnents and Wakiso giants
Bright Stars could also move a place up with a victory if Wakiso Giants loses in an early kick-off meeting with Kitara.
