Waaswa bbosa - Express FC lose to UPDF FC

Express FC has succumbed to their first league loss of the season after suffering a 1-0 loss away at UPDF FC in the Startimes Uganda Premier League, a game played at Bombo Army playgrounds.

Alex Kitara ‘Benzema’ scored the only goal in the 24th minute off a well-taken corner from Isa Mubiru to hand the army side a win against Wasswa Bbosa’ side.

This is Express’ first League loss of the season that also sees them slip from the summit of the league and replaced by URA FC who beat Police FC by a 2-0 margin at the MTN Omondi stadium in Lugogo.

URA are now top of the log with 30 points from the 13 games they have played so far, whereas Express are now second and stay put at 28points.

Express FC will play against Kyetume FC at the Wankulukuku Stadium next, on Saturday, while UPDF will travel to Tororo where they will face MYDA FC on Friday.

Elsewhere, the Kasasiro boys seem to have gained momentum in the league after winning their fifth game in a row with a 1-0 win against Kyetume FC at the FUFA Technical centre in Njeru Courtesy of a Bright Anukani goal in the 66th minute of the game.

Busoga United also registered their first win in the league as they beat struggling MYDA FC by a 1-0 margin in an early kickoff at the FUFA Technical centre in Njeru.
