The Touchline Sports - StarTimes UPL: SC Villa record successive wins for the first time this season

SC Villa have registered successive wins in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League for the first time this season.

This is after they humbled Tooro United 4-0 at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru on Monday.

Salim Abdallah, Nicholas Kabonge, Benson Muhindo and Goffin Oyirwoth netted for the four goals for the Jogoos.

With 9 minutes on the clock, Villa broke the deadlock with Salim netting on a rebound after the initial shot was saved.

From then on, Villa were the better side and imposed alot of pressures on the Tooro United seeking to double their lead but were unlucky on several occasions.

Before the break, though, Villa finally double their lead after Kabonge tapped in a well delivered cross from Oscar Mawa.

The game went into the break with the hosts, SC Villa comfortably holding a 2-0 lead over the visitors.

Just like the opening half, Villa dominated much of the proceedings and were rewarded with another goal with 8 minutes to play.

Substitute Muhindo converted from the spot to make it 3 after he was fouled in the area.

Goffin, who also came off the bench in the second half wrapped up Villa’s incredible victory with a well-taken strike to make it 4-0 before the death of the game.

With the victory, Villa move to 15 points on the log and now occupy ninth position on the log with 12 games played so far.

While Tooro United, who have suffered their 11th successive loss remain rock-bottom with only four points in 13 games.
