SC Villa took home all the three points after edging Express 2-1 at the Muteesa II stadium, Wankulukuku on Friday evening.

In a game that was delayed by 30 minutes, youngster Alpha Thierry Ssali netted the second goal of the season and first of the day after his shot deflected off Edward Masembe just 14 minutes into the game that to an Isaac Waigona assist.

Eighteen minutes later, Jonah Patrick Kakande leveled matters after a good move he started at the center line with Ronald Ssekiganda, Ivan Bogere and Umar Lutalo exchanging passes only for the youngster to complete it all.

With SC Villa dominating the game after restart, Umar Lutalo doubled Villa’s lead three minutes past the hour mark through the spot after Ssekiganda was brought down into the area by a sliding Abbel Sajjabi Muwanguzi

With three minutes left on the clock Masembe tried to pass back the ball to goal keeper, Anfigindru which was met by Waigona on the way but yielded no good since he failed to round up the shot stopper with help from his defenders.

This result meant SC Villa moved one place on the log to 6th ahead of Express with 16 points, compared to Express’ 13 after 10 games.

In their next fixtures, SC Villa will welcome Gaddafi FC on 13th December while Express will travel to Hoima to visit Kitara FC.
