Police FC came from a goal down to secure a two-all stalemate against Gaddafi FC in the Startimes Uganda Premier League game played at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo on Tuesday.

Herman Wasswa netted for Police with 16 minutes to the death of the game to level matters after Amos Kirya and Hassan Musana had netted for Soldier Boys earlier on while Juma Balinya was the scoresheet for the Cops.

Police failed to capitalize early on in the game after Brian Mululi failed to put the ball past Paul Mujapani as early as the second minute.

Gaddafi first attempt at goal fell to Franco Onen but the midfielder’s shot was too weak to trouble Tom Ikara.

Moments later, Gaddafi almost broke the game’s deadlock through Alex Kitata’s shot which was beat Ikara but got cleared off the line by Tonny Kiwalazi.

After several intense pressures of the Police backline, Gaddafi finally got the opener, Kirya’s low deflected shot beating off Ikara.

Gaddafi held onto their nerves to take a 1-0 lead into halftime.

Police FC made a double introduction at the start of second half, bringing on Duncan Sseninde and Muwadda Muwejje in search for an equalizer.

This yeilded fruits as Sseninde laid in a beautiful cross for Balinya to head in a beauty into the far post to level matters in the 67th minute.

But Gaddafi restored their lead few moments later after Yusuf Ssozi poorly handed in the forbidden area to gift the Soldier Boys an opportunity from six yards.

Musana stepped up and converted from the stop to make it 2-1.

But Sseninde, who was brilliant after coming on, produced another array of magic, beating off Jamaldin Buchochera with a run to set up Herman Wasswa to tap in an equalizer in the 74th minute.

After the equaliser, Police FC kept on pushing for the winner but the Gaddafi FC defence stood firm to secure a point.

With two assists, Sseninde was voted man of the match for his game for his performance.
