Peter Onzima was the star of the day as he scored and assisted for Busoga United to comfortably beat Blacks Power at the Aki Bua Stadium, Lira on Tuesday.

The game ended 2-0 with two second half Busoga goals coming in from Peter Onzima and Kasamba who both lacked that cutting edge in the opening half.

Eyes off the result, the largest parts of the game were dominated the Lira side just like the biggest chunk of chances. With Micheal Siwu and Dickens Okwi failing to put away the available opportunities.

In the 74th minute, a misplaced pass by Okwi met Busoga’s Onzima who ran through to beat one defender with his Power and pace only to finish off beautifully.

Eleven minutes later, Ronald Kasamba doubled the Jinja side’s lead to kill off the game after a good ball from Onzima.

The win lifts Busoga out of relegation to 13th Position, level on points(12) and goal difference with Blacks Power, and one above UPDF who play BUL at home on the same day.

Busoga will host UPDF FC at the FUFA technical Centre in the next match day while Blacks Power will travel to Kavumba recreation Grounds to face Solitilo Bright Stars.

Both games will be played on Friday 3rd March 2023.
