StarTimes UPL: Kakande brace helps Villa edge Maroons


Patrick Jonah Kakande’s two goals helped SC Villa make a come back win against Maroons fc at the Muteesa 2 stadium Wankulukuku.

Fred Amaku’s lower shot outside the 18 yard box put the visitors in the lead in the eighth minute.

In the sixtieth minute, youngster Patrick Jonah Kakande levelled matters for the hosts utilizing Abbas Kyeyune’s low cross.

Ten minutes later, Kakande took a shot in the penalty area which went past goalkeeper, Hanington Ssebalunyo completing his brace.

Two minutes into the ninetieth minute, David Owori missed a chance when his shot hit the cross bar.

SC Villa now move to the fourth position with 29 points while Maroons drop to the fifth position with 28 points.

The Jogoos will visit Kitara fc on 9th February at Masindi stadium while the Prisons side will host Wakiso Giants on 8th February in Luzira prisons ground.
