Denis Kaka Umony came from the bench to deny Express maximum in a StarTimes Uganda Premier League game played at Wakulukuku.

Kaka netted a late equaliser to ensure Bright Stars picked up a vital away point after the game ended 1-all.

Express had gone in front courtesy of George Ssenkaaba strike in the 58th minute.

Express wasted some brilliant chance earlier on in the game which would helped the lead early enough.

Kambale failed to beat goalkeeper Simon Tamale after a nice delivery by Deus Bukenya while Martin Kizza struck the side net after receiving a ball from Kambale.

The opener came in 59th minute with an unconventional finish from Ssenkaaba after Kambale had headed in a Godfrey Lwesibawa corner. The header deflected off Ssenkaaba’s hip and went into the back of net.

After surviving several pressures from Bright Stars, Wasswa Bbosa’s side surrendered in the 90th minute after a defensive mix-up between Captain Enock Walusimbi and goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa gifted Kaka with a chance to run through and net into an empty net.

The game ended 1-all which is a major upset to Express title hopes.

With the draw, Express go to 27 points in 15 games and are four points behind KCCA who sit top of the log. The Kasasiro Boys have played two games less.

While Bright Stars move out of relegation zone with that point. They now have 11 points, one above Onduparaka and Busoga United.
