Kakindu Stadium finally approved to host StarTimes UPL matches

The Federation of Uganda Premier League Stadium Inspection Committee has finally approved Kakindu Stadium in Jinja to start hosting StarTimes Uganda Premier League matches.

This was confirmed in a letter written to the Stadium management/Owner by the Deputy FUFA CEO Decolas Kizza Hantali in regards to the approval.

According the inspection committee, all the missing requirements recommended from the previous inspection have now fully been worked upon.

This included fixing and covering of the technical benches, setting up of the dressing rooms and making the full pitch green.

“In light of the above, the Stadium was inspected at Class 3 level and qualified to host StarTimes Uganda Premier League matches, StarTimes FUFA Big League matches and Stanbic Uganda Cup matches” read parts of the statement.

Its highly likely that Busoga United will now shift their base back to Kakindu Stadium as they have been hosting their games at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru since this season started.
