Startimes UPL: Busoga to host new league entrants Blacks Power


With heavy defeats on the back of their heads, both Busoga United and New league entrants Blacks Power will meet for the first time on Wednesday at the Kakindu stadium.

Busoga United who lie 13th on the Log lost to new comers Maroons away from home 5-0 at Luzira Prisons ground, a game where they looked unprepared with team jerseys coming 15 minutes past kickoff ime.

On the other side, 14th placed Blacks Power was thumped 5-0 by Jinja’s BUL FC at home( John Akibua Memorial stadium) on match day one.

The Busoga United Head Coach Paul Kiwanuka expressed his team’s readiness as he spoke to the Club media;

I am ready and prepared to face Blacks Power and all my players are ready for the challenge being the fact that we lost our first game away to Maroons, we corrected the mistakes that we made so each and every player is ready for the challenge and they are very much aware that we need nothing but all the three points.”

With, Blacks Power they got a mixture of young talent and experience and they will hope to collect their first win and goal against Busoga United.

This Peter Onen coached side will drive their motivation from players like Bronson Nsubuga, Baden Mujahid and Ahmed Amayo who have held Premier League status for a sometime.

For Busoga United, they welcome back Laban Tibiita and experienced centre back Isaac Isinde have not featured in the first game while Blacks Power will be without both shot stopper Tonny Kyamera and Defender Mike Kawooya who were suspended by the Club on Tuesday.
