- Gaddafi 2-1 UPDF
- Vipers 2-1 Kitara
Total disappointment it was for the royals of Kitara FC as they suffered a late heartbreak as Dudu Ramathan’s late equalizer was ruled for offside against Vipers SC at the St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende on Thursday evening.
In a game that was played under the floodlights, Kitara who ended the match on a 2-1 losing edge made it three defeats out of their 10.
In the opening half, Jude Ssemugabi put Kitara ahead thanks to a good cut back by Denis Omedi from the right side to find the goal scorer just 12 minutes into the game.
With balanced action from both sides Vipers through Milton Karisa created a great chance, pulling back the ball to set up Bright Anukani who shot straight to the goal keeper’s hand, Crispus Kusiima.
Five minutes later, Anukani opened the scoring through the spot after Yunus Sentamu was brought down in the area by Okello Donato to end the first half 1-1.
Two minutes after the restart, returnee Allan Okello put a good through ball to beat Goalkeeper Crispus Kusiima and his entire back line to set up Anukani for his second on the day.
In the last minute of added time, Kitara were hugely disappointed when assistant referee Juma Osire put up the flag against Dudu’s header disallowed for offside.
This result keeps Vipers to second with 23 points, two behind leaders BUL who drew with Express and four above Kitara.
In their next games, Vipers will take a trip to Luzira to face Maroons on 13th December while Kitara will welcome struggling Express on 12th December in Masindi.
