Stanbic Uganda Cup: Kizza free kick guides KCCA past URA

KCCA FC knocked URA FC out of the Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 16 match played at Mehta stadium in Lugazi on Monday evening.

In a game that had to be stopped in the 14th minute due to heavy down pour, left back Mustafa Kiiza rescued a win for the citizens.

Substitute, Kiiza delivered a 85th minute free kick that went past URA goalkeeper, James Alitho.

In the mix of a promising Quaterfinal draw, ten (10) time Uganda Cup Champions, KCCA have joined the company of  BUL, Kitara, Police FC and regional side, Pajule Lions that have already qualified for the round of 16.

Abdullah Mubiru’s charges now shift their focus to the Uganda Premier League where they will take a short trip to face Vipers at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende on 15th March.

For the tax collectors, they will host a title contender in BUL FC on Friday 8th at Mehta stadium in Lugazi.
