Stanbic Uganda Cup: BUL FC eliminate SC Villa at the round of 32

Defending champions, BUL FC edged SC Villa at the round of 32 of the 2022/23 Stanbic Uganda Cup in a game that was played on Friday at FUFA Technical Center, Njeru.

The game ended 1-0 in favor of BUL and the only goal was scored by Ronald Otti in the 6th minute of the game ending the Jogoos hunt for the 10th title.

BUL FC eliminated Sparks FC 1-0 in Mukono in the round of 64 while SC Villa eliminated Kireka United 6-0.

This is the second consecutive season as the Eastern Giants eliminate SC Villa having done it in the previous edition at the quarter final stage.

The Jinja based club will continue looking forward to playing a third consecutive final of the Stanbic Uganda cup in three seasons having played the previous two against Vipers.

Express and KCCA FC stand among the teams that have won the trophy a record number of 10 times each with with SC Villa coming in behind – short by only one on nine.

Bul FC will be back to footballing action as they play UPDF FC on Tuesday 21st February in the Startimes Uganda Premier League while SC Villa  host the bottom placed Onduparaka three days later at the Aki Bua Stadium, Lira
