Simba SC: Head coach, Robertinho’s contract terminated


Tanzanian Premier League side, Simba SC  has terminated their head coach’s contract, Roberto Goncalves Dorcamo Oliviera alias Robertihno.

Following an embarrassing 1-5 defeat to their arch rivals, Young Africans SC at the Benjamin Mukapa stadium in the “Karioke Derby” on Sunday the club decided to terminate the Brazilian tactician’s contract.

The club’s Chief Executive Officer(CEO), Imani J Kajula stated “We have agreed to mutually terminate Robertinho’s contract”

Robertihno joined the Tanzanian side in January 2023 as a replacement of Zoran Manoljovic crossing over from Ugandan champions Vipers SC.

The Brazilian signed a three year contract in January 2023 which lasted for only 10 months.

Daniel Cadena takes over as the club’s interim head coach assisted by Selemani Mutola.

The defeat against Yanga was the first in the season out their 7 games, the side had played leaving the club in the third position with 18 points.

Roberthino guided the 22 times Tanzania Premier League champions to the quarter finals of the CAF Champions league last season losing to Waydad Casablanca.
