Brazilian coach Roberto Oliveira alias Robertinho is has joined Tanzanian powerhouse Simba SC days after he ended marriage with the Venoms.
The development was announced this morning as the tactician put pen to a two-year contract with the moneybags.
Robertinho replaced Juma Magunda who was sacked after he failed to beat arch-rivals Young Africans SC’s dominance.
Yanga sit top of the Tanzania Premier League with 49 points, six ahead of runners-up Simba, with 19 games played.
The tactician met with the Simba team in Zanzibar on Monday, where they are bound to participate in the Mapinduzi Cup.
At Vipers SC
Robertinho after 14-months in Kitende has two trophies the (2020/21 Uganda Cup and 2021/22 Uganda Premier League title) plus qualification to the CAF Champions League group stages for the first time in history.
Intrestingly Simba are in the same Champions League group (C), with Oliviera’s former side, Vipers alongside Raja Casablanca. The two sides are expected to meet on 24th February and 7th March – 2023.
