Coach Matia Lule has stepped down as Proline FC head coach with immediate effect.
This development was confirmed on Tuesday evening after the team’s narrow 3-2 victory over Maroons FC at the StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo.
The communication for his stepping down was confirmed by Club Chairman Mujib Kasule;
Matia has left Uganda and will be going to Denmark for further coaching development but will be coming back to coach at the Club as soon as he returns.
Lule joined Proline earlier this season replacing Shafik Bisaso who under the similar circumstances left for Europe to upgrade his coaching license.
The former Cranes Assistant coach inspired Proline FC to the playoffs of the CAF Confederation Cup losing only 1 game (against Al-Nasr) in 6 games.
Lule held a 33.3 winning percentage at the Lugogo side having managed only 6 wins in 18 games.

First-team coach Baker Mbowa is expected to take over from Lule on an interim basis till a permanent replacement is found.
Proline FC is currently bottom of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League with 8 points in 12 games and will be facing Police FC next on Friday.
