Preview: Proline hoping to build on recent form as they host Maroons


Proline FC will play host to Maroons FC at the Star Times Stadium in Lugogo later on today in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

Proline FC who will be playing their 12th game of the campaign has looked a rejuvenated side of late collecting 5-points from their last 3 league games – drawing away to second-placed BUL FC, winning at home vs Bright Stars FC and a point on the road to Tooro United.

The Matia Lule coached side sit in 16th place on the league table with just 5-points from the 11 games they have played so far having been deducted 6 points at the start of the season which has seen them sit in the red zone since the season started.

With no injuries reported, the coach has the full squad at his disposal from which he will assemble his strongest side to take on the Luzira based side.

On the other hand, Maroons FC will be playing its 14th game of the campaign and will look to improve on their previous result which was a 2-2 draw against newly-promoted Wakiso Giants FC at home in Luzira.

Maroons have won once, drawn thrice and lost once in their last five games conceding nine goals and scored eight in the due course.

With 13 games played so far,the Bamweyana coached side sit in 7th place on the league table having collected 19 points.

They will look to Steven Mukwaala for goals who is in great form ever since he joined from Vipers SC on loan. He has scored 3 goals in his last two games and he is joint topscorer alongside Vipers’ Fahad Bayo on 8 goals and he has a chance to overtake him if he scored today.
