Express FC forward Eric Kambale has been shortlisted for the Pilsner Player of the Month Award.
The other two nominees are URA’s Steven Mukwala and Wakiso Giants Vianney Ssekajungo.
The Express target man had an impressive month of May, scoring eight goals in the league, finding the back of the net in all the five games played in the month.
He scored a hat-trick against Kyetume in Nakisunga, a brace against Kitara and a goal each against UPDF, Busoga United and Police FC, a feat that helped him win the Fortbet Real Stars Award as May’s best in the football category.
He will face the challenge of Steven Mukwala and Vianney Ssekajungo who also had a brilliant month of May.
Mukwala was on target four times in five games, while Ssekajungo had six goals in the five games.
In the coaches category, Wasswa Bbosa, Douglas Bamweyana and Sam Simbwa are the three nominees.
Bbosa guided his side to the top of the StarTimes UPL log with five wins in five games in May, Bamweyana had four wins and 1 draw while Simbwa finished the month with three wins, a draw and a loss.
Soltilo Bright Stars duo of Samuel Ssekamate Kayongo and Baker Mbowa won the April’s Pilsner Player of the Month and Coach of the Month Awards respectively.
