The University Football League celebrates ten years as they would love to appreciate the best Team, Coach and players of the tournament in the last decade, 10 years of football having started the journey on 19th September 2012.
In a ceremony graced by the University League Football chairman Vicent Kisenyi, Obal Atubo and AUUS President Kabenge Peninah on Tuesday, the nominees were reaveled to the public after the technical committee reviewed all the Nominations on Monday.
The list holding onto nine (9) categories as listed below ;
Player of the Decade
Yasser Mugerwa (Nkumba), Siraje Musindo (MUST), Emmanuel Were(UCU)
Goalkeeper of the Decade
Mathias Kigonya (KU), Samson Kirya (Makerere), Derrick Were Emmanuel (UCU)
Defender of the Decade
Geoffrey Akabwai (KIU), Douglas Muganga (Nkumba), Fred Gift (Bugema)
Midfielder of the Decade
Nasser Lukwago (Uganda Martyrs), Muzamir Mutyaba (KU), Yasser Mugerwa (Nkumba)
Forward of the Decade
Ezra Kaye Kizito (UCU), Siraje Musindo (MUST), Douglas Owori (Uganda Martyrs)
Coach of the Decade
Charles Ayiekoh (MUBS), Vincent Tumusiime (KU), Nnono Ssozi (St. Lawrence)
