Olympics : Winnie Nanyondo off to the 1500m semi-finals

The Touchline Sports - Olympics: Uganda’s Nanyondo and Nakaayi advance to 800m semis

Uganda’s Winnie Nanyondo have advanced to the Women’s 1500m semi-finals at the ongoing 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

This is after she finished in second position in her heat posting 4:02:24 only behind Kenyan Faith Kipyegon who won the heat with 4:01:40.

The top six from each of the three heats and next six fasted runners advanced to the semis.

Nanyondo was eliminated in the 800m semis after they finished in 5th position to miss out on the final.
