Netball: INF announce dates for youth world cup

The International Netball Federation (INF) has announced the dates for the Netball Youth World Cup, marking the return of the sport for international action.

The tournament will take place from the 1st – 19th of December 2021 in Fiji, as announced by the INF on Friday 18th September 2020 following the postponement of the tournament due to the COVID 19 crisis that caged sport.

Africa is to be represented by South Africa, Malawi, and Uganda who qualified through regional rankings after the cancelation of the qualifier tournament which was slated to take place in July 2019.

“International Netball Federation has announced the Netball youth world cup will take place during the period from 1st – 19th December 2021. The precise start and end dates of netball competitions will be confirmed in the forthcoming weeks,” said INF in a statement.

Earlier in July this year, the INF in consultation with the Netball youth world cup hosting country Fiji decided to postpone the tournament from July 2021 due to the uncertainty conditions of COVID 19 and it has been confirmed for December 1st to 19th.
