Mutebi eye Vipers midfielder as his first signing at AS Kigali

New AS Kigali and former KCCA FC head coach Mike Hillary Mutebi is targeting Vipers SC midfielder Jamil Kalisa as his first signing at the Rwandese top tier side, TheTouchline Sports sources have learnt.

Kalisa who joined the venoms in 2020 on a four-year deal has failed to cement a starting position at the Kitende based side. He has featured in only 11 games and found the back of the net only once.

Kalisa started his career at National Sports Academy before he moved to Kampala Regional side Lungujja Galaxy.

From Lungujja, he moved to Bright Stars in 2018 before completing a switch to Vipers in 2020.

He also featured in the Futsal Super League and was voted MVP in the 2017/18 season.

Mutebi’s AS Kigali currently sits 4th on the log with 23 points in 13 games.
