Farouk Miya: Uganda Cranes forward completes move to Ukraine top tier side

Uganda Cranes forward Farouk Miya has completed his move to Ukraine top tier side Lviv FC.

The former Vipers SC player joins Lviv as a free agent and has put pen to paper to an initial six-month contract until the end of the season with a possibility of an extension.

He has been club-less since he parted ways with Turkish Super ligue side Konyaspor FC in July last year.

Lviv is Miya’s sixth club in Europe since he departed the country in 2016. He as played at Standard Liege, Royal Excel Mouscron, Sebail FC, HNK Gorica and Konyaspor since he left Vipers SC.

The 24-year old has 58 caps for the Uganda National senior football team, the Cranes and has found the back of the net 19 times.

Lviv currently sits 12th on the Ukraine Premier League log with 17 points in 18 games. They were founded in 2006 and are coached by Oleg Dulub.
