Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin Sredojevic ‘Micho’ has summoned a provisional 30-player squad ahead of the training camp in Jordan.
The squad consists of mainly local based players and three foreign based(who are already in the Country)
The training camp in Jordan is organized to fine tune the Cranes squad ahead of 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifier game against Kenya
In Jordan, Uganda will take part in two build games against Syria to be played on 23rd and 26th August.
After the camp in Jordan, the team will depart for Ethiopia for another friendly game against the national side and it’s expected this is when other foreign based players will join the team.
Back to the squad, Gift Ali and Jude Ssemugabi have received his maiden call up whipe Denis Iguma is back to the Uganda Cranes fold, having last featured in 2019.
Abdul Lumala, Patrick Henry Kaddu and Emmanuel Okwi are the three foreign based players.
Uganda is in Group E of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers alongside Kenya, Rwanda and Mali.
